  • Name and email address (via Google or GitHub OAuth)
  • Profile picture (from your OAuth provider)
  • Account preferences and settings

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you use our platform:

  • Learning progress (chapters completed, challenges solved)
  • Interaction with AI tutor (hints requested, code submissions)
  • Achievements, badges, and streak data
  • Leaderboard participation and ranking

Payment Information

If you purchase the Founder Edition, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. We receive limited transaction data from Stripe including:

  • Payment confirmation status
  • Transaction date and amount
  • Last 4 digits of card (for receipt purposes)

Authentication Data

We use Google and GitHub OAuth for authentication. When you sign in, we receive:

  • Your email address
  • Your name and profile picture
  • Unique identifier from the OAuth provider

We do not have access to your Google or GitHub passwords.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and improve our educational platform
  • Personalize your learning experience with AI tutoring
  • Track your progress and award achievements
  • Process Founder Edition purchases
  • Send transactional emails (welcome, receipts, important updates)
  • Display your profile on public pages (Wall of Founders, leaderboard)
  • Analyze platform usage to improve features

We use cookies to maintain your authenticated session and remember your preferences. These are essential for the platform to function properly. By using Zero to Website, you consent to our use of cookies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with:

  • Stripe: Payment processing for Founder Edition purchases
  • Google/GitHub: Authentication via OAuth
  • Hosting providers: Infrastructure to operate the platform (Vercel, Supabase, Upstash)

All third-party services are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the specified purposes.

Public Information

Certain information is displayed publicly on Zero to Website:

  • Leaderboard: Your name, avatar, rank, and score
  • Wall of Founders: Your name, avatar, and founder number (if you purchased Founder Edition)
  • Shareable report cards: Skills, rank, and streak data (when you share your own link)

You can opt out of public listings by deleting your account or contacting support.

Data Retention

We retain your account data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except:

  • Transaction records (required for legal/tax compliance)
  • Anonymized usage statistics

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your learning progress data
  • Opt out of public leaderboard/Wall of Founders display
